Doodle Land

I love gel pens and, as you  can see, they are lots of fun to doodle with. I start with some lines and swirls and then keep going. In this one I could have tried to fill in all the white space but decided to stop here. I might do some more on this but that is the thing about a doodle. It has no finite end!
Trouble getting onto blogger with my dreadful rural satellite connection. So not posting as often as I would like. Off to Cambodia for a couple of weeks on Saturday and am hoping to come back with lots of photos, ideas and sketches.

Escape the rat race!

It's a busy week this week with school reports and other end of year activities. This is an image I created but didn't end up submitting for one of my Graphics and Contemporary Society assignments. Combo of original photos, paint work in Photoshop and posterise in another program. Hopefully will find time to get something new up maybe tomorrow!

A pencil sketch

I bought some new soft coloured pencils the other day this is a sketch I coloured with them. The cat is still in 5B with just his nose coloured in. I scanned this into Photoshop, trimmed off the edges and reduced the brightness.

Blue flower wasp and friend

This is my little ferret friend, Dancing Moon. He is talking to a friendly wasp he met in the garden. Blue flower wasps are very laconic and beautiful creatures to find in the garden. I am experimenting with poster effects in Photoshop.

In the beginning ...

This is something I did years ago when I was fiddling around. I am particularly inspired by Indian, Chinese and Middle-eastern art.
However what I would love to do is have people upload your interpretation of our name CATs - Creative Artists in Touch. When we have a few images maybe we could have a vote and choose one to put at the top of our page. Please share this page with others.
